The Regulated Classroom© is a somatosensory and Polyvagal-informed approach to cultivating conditions for felt safety in the classroom.

Traditional approaches to managing behavior in the classroom have been rooted in a behaviorist paradigm and focused on the student(s).  In The Regulated Classroom©, emphasis is placed on the educator's nervous system and experience in the classroom as the basis for co-regulation.  

Polyvagal Theory offers an understanding for why we may behave /respond in the way that we do. With this understanding, behaviors  make more sense and it opens space for more compassion, curiosity, and effective intervention. @theregulatedclassroom
